What kind of Curriculum does Vinson Morris Children’s Center use?
VMCC uses two curriculums; Frog Street and WEE Learn. Both curriculums we use are designed to:
Develop safe and healthy habits in young children with an emphasis on hygiene, nutrition, independence, exercise and physical care.
Foster positive self esteem.
Provide opportunities for creative expression.
Support the development of social skills.
Stimulate cognitive skills.
Strengthen communication skills.
Develop fine and gross motor skills.
What is the enrollment process for Vinson Morris Children’s Center?
All children must be enrolled before attending the center. The following must be completed and submitted to the center before enrollment can occur:
Application and enrollment folder
Up to date immunization record
First payment of tuition
Registration fee
What are the hours of operations for VMCC?
Our hours of operation are from 7:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday. Since the learning activities for all classes begin at 8:30am, all children must be dropped off by 9:00am.
Where do I drop off my child?
The center can only be accessed through locked doors at either exit. Access codes will be given to the parents on the first day of the children's attendance in the program. Children are signed in and out in their designated classroom with their assigned teacher.
What clothing & supplies am I expected to maintain for my child at VMCC?
Dress your child in clothing that is comfortable. Many of your child's favorite activities may be messy. Clothing and shoes should be easy for children to remove. All outdoor activities require closed-toe shoes such as tennis shoes. The children will go outside every day weather permitting, please dress your child accordingly.
Additional Supplies:
Toddlers: 10 diapers or training pants (daily)
2 changes of clothing
Small blanket
Preschool: 2 changes of clothing
